These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms and Conditions”) apply to all participants (hereinafter referred to as the “Participant(s)”) who register to attend the 26th ICOM General Conference (hereinafter referred to as the “Event”) organized by the International Council of Museums (ICOM), ICOM Czech Republic (ICOM CZ) and GUARANT International spol. s.r.o (GUARANT) (the “Organiser(s)”).
By registering, the Participant confirms that he/she has read these Terms and Conditions and, where applicable, any Special Regulations provided by the Organisers, and undertakes to accept all the clauses thereof, without reservation or restriction.
Admission to the Event implies full acceptance by the Participant of these Terms and Conditions, as well as of all the documents referred to herein. The Organisers reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
Modifications resulting from changes in regulations and/or relating to the safety of persons and property shall apply immediately, without the need to communicate them to the Participants.
In the event of a change in the dates and/or the site and/or the format hosting the event, as determined by the Organisers for any reason whatsoever, the Participant will be informed of this change. Unless the Participant cancels his/her registration to participate by written form to the following email ICOM2022registration@guarant.cz within 15 days of said notification on the conference webpage and e mail News, the Participant will be deemed to have accepted the new dates and/or site and/or change of format of the Event.

1. SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on health, we draw your attention to the fact that the Organisers may have to cancel, switch to a full online format or reschedule the holding of the Event to meet the health and safety recommendations and requirements imposed by governments organizations.
In this case, the Organisers will promptly inform the Participant of their decision to cancel, reschedule or revise the format of the Event. In the event of cancellation, there will be no damages and any monies received by the Organiser will be returned to the Participant, which the Participant expressly accepts and acknowledges.
If the Event is postponed to a later date, the current conditions will be maintained for the new dates, which the Participant expressly accepts and acknowledges.
If the format of the Event is changed to a fully online format, the “Conditions for Exchange In Person to Remote “shall apply.
2. REGISTRATION
All registrations to the Event may be subject to review by the Organisers which reserves the right to assess and verify the following non-exhaustive list of information:
- ICOM Membership Status;
- Category of Membership;
The Organisers reserves the right not to consider registrations submitted after the deadline for registration defined by the Organisers. After this date, the Organisers no longer guarantee the availability of tickets.
Once registered on the Event website, the invitation is strictly for your personal use and it may not be reassigned, transferred or lent to another person.
3. INVOICING TERMS
All prices stated on the ICOM Prague 2022 website (https://prague2022.icom.museum) and on the registration platform (https://secure.guarant.cz/icom2022/) are expressed in Euros inclusive VAT tax.
4. SECURE PAYMENT AND PROOF OF TRANSACTION FOR ONLINE APPLICATIONS
The registration platform site is protected by a secure payment system and GUARANT has adopted the 3 D Secure procedure, which encodes and protects confidential information.
Unless proven otherwise, data recorded by GUARANT constitutes proof of all transactions between GUARANT and the Participant.
The data recorded by the payment system constitutes proof of the financial transactions.
5. CANCELLATION DUE TO A FORCE MAJEURE EVENT
In the event that the Organisers cancel the Event due to an event of force majeure as recognized by Czech jurisprudence or as defined by Czech courts, the Organisers will immediately inform the Participants.
In this case, the Organisers shall not be liable for any loss or damage but GUARANT shall refund to the Participants any sums paid to it by them.
Force majeure events include
- events qualified as such by courts,
- events that make it impossible to operate the conference venue, whatever the cause, such as but not limited to the following events:
- fire, explosion, flood, storm, lightning,
- damage to technical equipment resulting in the inability to operate the Conference Venue,
- flood, violent storm, damage caused by lightning,
- decision by a government authority to close or requisition the Conference Venue.
6. ORGANISERS’ RIGHTS
The Organisers reserve the right to:
- Stop any activity on the part of any Participant that may interfere with, or cause annoyance to any activity or meeting organized during the Event;
- Exclude or remove anyone from the Event who does not comply with these terms and conditions;
- is not showing or abiding by a general good conduct; and/or is not showing or abiding by such professional behaviour as can be expected from the sort of Event.
7. INVALIDITY
In the Event that one or more provisions of these Terms and Conditions are found to be invalid or declared as such under any law or regulation or following a final court decision, the remaining provisions will remain in force and retain their scope of application.
8. LIABILITY WAIVER AND RELEASE
The Participant agrees and acknowledges that he/she is participating in or to the Event at his/her own free will and intentional act.
The Participant understands and accepts that he/she assumes responsibility for his/her own wellbeing and safety, and that his/her participation in or to the Event may involve an element of risk and/or danger of accidents, which element of danger or risk he/she hereby assumes. The Participant hereby waives, releases and discharges any and all claims for damage for personal injury, death or property damage which he/she may have, or which may hereafter accrue to him/her, as a result of his/her participation in or to the Event. This release is intended to discharge in advance the Organisers, their directors, employees and agents from any and all liability arising out of or connected in any way with the Participant’s participation in or to the Event.
This liability waiver is to be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
9. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
This Website may contain Content, links and other information submitted by third parties over whom the Organisers have no control and decline any responsibility for access, content or use of these sites, as well as any damage that may result from consulting the information on these sites. The decision to activate these links is the full responsibility of the Internet user.
All content, text, images, data, information and other materials displayed, available or present on this website ("Content"), including intellectual property rights in such Content (including trademarks and copyrights) (hereinafter "Intellectual Property Rights"), are owned by the Organisers respectively and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. It should be assumed that everything you see or read on this site is copyrighted unless otherwise noted and may not be used without express written permission.
10. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
The Organisers process the personal data that is communicated by the Participant when he/she registers to attend the 26th General Conference of the ICOM in Prague.
The processing of the personal data is based on the Organizers’ legitimate interest to organise the Event.
The personal data that must necessarily be provided are indicated as such on the registration form and are necessary for the registration of the Participant to the Event. The Organisers will not be able to process the Participant’s requests without said data.
The personal data will be communicated only to the Organizers’ authorised partners and technical service suppliers and will be stored according to the Organizers’ Privacy Policy at https://prague2022.icom.museum/gdpr.
In accordance with the applicable regulations, the Participant has a right of access, a right of rectification, a right to object to the processing of its data, a right to delete data and to limit its processing and a right regarding the portability of its data. The Participant may exercise these rights at any time by writing to GUARANT International spol. s.r.o., Českomoravská 19, 190 00 Prague 9, Czech Republic or by email at info@guarant.cz. Finally, the Participant has the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant authorities.
11. SAFETY RULES
The Organizer will follow all up-to-date rules given by the Czech government and will regularly inform participants about any changes through the Conference website and Conference social media.
The Participant should regularly inform him/herself about the requirements and restrictions put in place by the Czech government to attend the Event.
COVID-19 SAFETY RULES

As of 14/2/2022
To attend the Event while complying with the rules enforceable in Czech Republic, the Participants needs to :
- have laboratory confirmation of having recovered from COVID-19 disease in the period not longer than 180 days before the day of the event;
- have proof of COVID-19 vaccination, with at least 14 days since the last vaccine dose (second for two-dose vaccines, first for single-dose vaccines).
During the conference it is always mandatory to wear a respirator without an exhalation valve min. class FFP2 (KN95/N95).
RECOGNITION OF VACCINATIONS CERTIFICATES FROM OTHER COUNTRIES
Holders of one of the following types of certificates can in the vast majority of cases come to the Czech Republic without a test and without undergoing self-insulation, only with an arrival form
1. EU COVID digital certificate
The EU COVID digital certificate is available to all: it includes data on vaccination, testing and treatment of COVID-19,
- is free and available in all EU languages, always in English,
- is available in digital and paper form,
- is secure and contains a digitally signed QR code.
The EU COVID digital certificate of vaccination is a certificate issued by all EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland and the Vatican since 1 July.

The Participant acknowledges that he/she has read these Safety Measures policy of the general conference, and in particular in relation to COVID-19, and accepts it.
