Opening Party

The 26th ICOM General Conference Opening Party will take place in two major Czech museums: the National Technical Museum and the National Museum of Agriculture. These institutions are housed in twin monumental functionalist buildings, and together form a world-class museum complex, located in the charming Letná district of Prague.

This will be your first chance to get to know museum professionals from across the globe. A varied programme is awaiting all participants, ranging from cultural performances, delicious foods that celebrate Czech traditional cuisine, tours of both museums and a ceremonial carriage ride pulled by one of the world's oldest horse breeds – the Czech Kladruber.
