Being and Becoming

Exploring the theme of limits, restriction and constraint, the visual dance performance/installation organically connects the human body and the object into a meaningful whole where one cannot exist without the other. The matter becomes part of the body and the body becomes a moving object. They change with time and move around the space with which they simultaneously interact.

The audience is invited to slow down and observe the situation –⁠ the art – from various points of view. The search for one’s own perspective, which transforms over time, is amplified by the provided audio track helping the audience immerse in the art, to listen not only to the echoes of the matter itself, but also to the stream of consciousness of the performer as she articulates her thoughts on the relationship between the body and the matter she is consciously creating at that time and makes us aware of the moment of bodily restriction, a clearly defined space for existence in which she finds her own freedom.
