Technical wonders in motion: Hands-on experience at the Technical Museum in Brno
The Technical Museum in Brno was founded in 1961, and from then until now it has been home to one of the largest collections of technical ‘wonders’ you could imagine. Whatsmore, from various crafts to modern information technologies, most of the exhibition pieces within the museum’s seventeen permanent exhibitions are still able to be operated! The museum also maintains six locations outside of Brno, for instance a watermill in Slup, a blacksmithery and a windmill, not to mention a rich depository of functioning historical vehicles.
Enjoy a day full of such technical wonders and try them out for yourself! Upon arrival in Brno, you’ll be taken to the Technical Museum by a historical bus. In the museum itself you will have the opportunity to see all kinds of vintage cars and motorcycles. Explore the exhibitions on a guided tour and experience a thematic fashion show from the golden period of the 1920s and 30s. Talk to employees of the museum in their authentic historical costumes, enjoy a wine tasting and listen to traditional folk and dulcimer music.
