The Power of Museums: Inclusion

This session will address the power of museums from the perspective of inclusion. Issues such as diversity, the inclusive museum and decolonization will be discussed, with a special focus on the challenges of making museums polyphonic spaces and incorporating different knowledge systems into museum practice.

The Power of Museums: SDGs

This session will address the power of museums from the perspective of UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. We are interested in dissecting museums’ actions towards sustainable development, namely aligning SDGs and museum practice and enhancing effectiveness and implementation of SDGs.

The Power of Museums: Authority and Networks

In this session, the power of museums will be approached from the perspective of harnessing the power of our networks. Specifically, we want to address the transition from a single-centered institutional authority paradigm to a broader system of distributed knowledge and co-authorship, how to involve communities and the role of transdisciplinary innovation.
