Creating Sustainable Exchanges for All
Museums and exhibition organizers face profound challenges in their efforts to stay relevant despite the pandemic’s impact. Museums, science centers in the Ibero-American space are no exception. For this session, ICEE, ICOM LAC, ICOM Mexico, and ICOM Spain invite you to reflect, present experiences and challenges related to the needs for professional development and institutional strengthening that embrace the adoption of technologies in an effort to minimize inequalities and maximize the contribution of museums to economic growth, and social wellbeing in their communities.

Marketplace of Exhibitions
The Marketplace of Exhibitions provides ICOM members with the opportunity to network with institutions who may be interested in hiring an exhibition or collaborating in a future exhibition project. We welcome the presentation of all newly developed exhibitions and exhibition ideas currently in development. The session includes a series of 5-minute pitches on Natural History and Science & Technology, and/or Art and Culture exhibitions for which registered presenters are seeking venues or a partner or multiple partners.

Just and Committed, Collecting, Curating, and Exchanging for Tomorrow
In a time of social and political division, growing concerns about the climate, environmental degradation and demographic change, many museums and exhibition organizers increasingly see themselves challenged to play a role in complex questions of racism, inequality, health and wellbeing, placemaking and active citizenship. During our joint session, we will together with our members reflect and discuss the ethical challenges involved in museum collections, curatorial processes, and exhibition exchange when thinking of a different tomorrow.
